Zone 3 — Crimson Torii Path (紅鳥居)

Crimson Torii Path (紅鳥居) is zone 3 of Yomi no Sho, designed for characters between level 8 and level 16.

A path of red torii gates stretching into darkness. The Tengu and Kappa here are the first real gear check — if you can’t beat zone 3’s boss, you’re not ready for zone 4. The Torii Keeper guards the gate, handing out quests to those who prove themselves.

Recommended: levels 8–16. You can travel here as soon as you reach level 8, but the boss of stage 10 will be challenging until you’re closer to level 16. Pushing into this zone below level 8 is possible but not recommended — the enemies’ base stats assume level-8 gear.

Two enemy archetypes spawn in this zone. Each fight picks one at random. Both archetypes use the same stage scaling and boss rules (see Bestiary for details).

Every 10th stage is a boss fight. The boss is the same archetype as the rest of the zone, but with significantly inflated stats:

HP, ATK, DEF×3 (vs. base)
SPD×1.2 (vs. base)
Crit×1.5 (vs. base)
XP reward×5
Gold reward×5
Name suffix”— Warlord” (English) / “・名将” (Japanese)

At stage 10, enemies are also scaled by the stage multiplier of 1.72×. So a stage-10 boss’s actual stats are roughly:

BossBase HPStage 10 HP (with boss mod)Base ATKStage 10 ATK (with boss mod)
Tengu — Warlord140~72220~103
Kappa — Warlord170~87716~83

Every combat victory has a 20% chance to roll an item drop. The dropped item is rolled from the game’s full item pool, but only items with minZone <= current zone are eligible. See Drop Rates for the full rarity weights.

In zone 3, the eligible items are those with minZone <= 3. This includes:

  • All common items (minZone 1–3)
  • All rare items (minZone 2–3)
  • Some epic items (minZone 3–3)

See the Items Index for the full list of items that can drop here.

This is the first real gear check. The Tengu hits hard (20 base ATK) and the Kappa is tanky (12 base DEF, 170 HP). If you can’t clear stage 10 here, you need better gear — go back to zone 2 and farm. The Torii Keeper’s quests will guide you forward.
